A Chinese blogger is apologizing for a viral video of her eating “bat soup” in China after she’s received hate related to the current coronavirus outbreak.
Now why exactly would people be mad at her? Well the virus apparently originated in an animal/seafood market in the city of Wuhan.
The exact same place this blogger tried the infamous "bat soup" which started rumors that her an other bloggers encouraged people to eat the soup thus making it more likely for the virus to have spread because of them making it a popular destination to try this unusual dish.
The blogger even went as far as to apologize saying, “When I filmed the video, I honestly did not know there would be a virus. My ignorance is to blame,”
While it isn't confirmed that patient zero ate one of these soups and caused this international spread of Coronavirus doesn't mean it's not out of the realm of possibility that this is how the virus started.
