Miami Heat Will Begin Allowing Fans Attend Home Games

The Miami Heat are going to allow fans into the American Airlines Arean for home games starting at the end of January.

The plan is to allow fans into the arena for the first time this season starting on Jan. 28. The crowd will be limited to about 1,500 season-ticket holders.

In terms of preventing the spread of COVID among fans, they plan to use dogs trained to sniff out the virus.

These pups will go up and down lines and around fans before they are allowed to enter AmericanAirlines Arena for upcoming home games to check for individuals who have the virus.

For those fans that are not comfortable being sniffed out by the dogs, a second option will be available. Those fans that turn down the dog scan will undergo another testing method before entering, but that apparently could take about 45 minutes.

So what preventative measures will they be taking inside the arena?

Fans who sit within 30 feet of the court will be required to take a rapid COVID-19 test on-site before the game and of course, all fans will be required to wear a mask at all times. You'll only be allowed to remove the mask to eat and drink in designated areas.
