The days of City Girls' reign might be over, according to Yung Miami.

In an interview Complex published on Monday, June 3, Caresha discussed the status of the Miami-based duo amid chatter about their split. Yung Miami and JT have had their share of ups and downs over the past few months. Despite their best efforts, it seems like City Girls may have run their course.

“I think when the City Girls album dropped and it didn’t do too well and we was just like trying to do our press run," Caresha said. "You know, the whole rollout of the album was just so bad because we were just in two different spaces."

“We’re older now and she was doing her own thing on the West Coast, I’m in Miami doing my own thing," she continued. "And I felt like naturally, when she’s doing her own thing, it just works for her. And when I’m doing my own thing, it works for me."

“But when we get together as a group, it just wasn’t connecting, it just wasn’t working no more. I think we were both at a point where it was just like, we should probably just do our own shit. That was the point for me," she concluded.

City Girls have been rapping side-by-side since they dropped their breakthrough track "F**k That N***a" in 2017. Since then, they've released three studio albums and a mixtape together. Their last album RAW dropped last October but didn't do as well as their previous projects.

In recent years, Yung Miami and JT have hopped on other collaborations separately. JT previously linked up with the likes of Nicki Minaj ("Super Freaky Girl Remix") and Summer Walker ("Ex For A Reason"). She also dropped her own solo singles "Okay" and "Sideways," which will appear on her upcoming solo project. Meanwhile, Miami appeared on Lola Brooke's "Don't Play With It (Remix)" and recently dropped her new collaboration with Skilla Baby "CFWM."
